Commercial Vehicle Clients
Case Study Quick Links
With many years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry, we work both in studio, and on location to supply truck and specialist vehicle photography for clients both regional and international including many OEMs such as Royal Terberg Group in the UK and Europe and Dennis Eagle as well as other leading clients Veolia, Först, NFT, and Pall-Ex covering their logistics. Here is some background information on the commercial work that we supply to some of those clients and how they utilise our photography within their marketing and advertising.
The majority of our clients come to us through pure reputation and recommendation. and we are very proud of what we have been able to achieve over the years, creating dynamic truck photography, and commercial vehicle photography that not only delivers visually through advertising but also sometimes becomes an important part of our clients’ actual brand identity within their own corporate and commercial advertising and marketing. Truck photography, logistics operations and supply chain photography can in its nature be very involved work that brings together many elements to create a final piece of commercial work for a client project through to delivery. From finding the right location or securing the right studio that can handle a specialised or large vehicle, to bringing together the logistics and not least managing the actual product, the truck, commercial vehicle or indeed the elements of the client's operation.
We have been working very closely with leading specialist vehicle OEM Terberg Environmental for over 12 years, producing both operational and truck photography across all their divisions, shooting both in the UK and also at their main manufacturing centres in Holland. We were first approached by the Netherlands-based company to create advertising and commercial marketing photography that showcased their UK operations, since then we have collaborated in a wide variety of divisions including DTS Specialist Vehicle, working with the group to deliver high-quality photography that they utilise both within group marketing and advertising material and across the all the Royal Terberg Group websites Worldwide.
Working with the Terberg Environmental
We have worked with all of the Terberg main centres around the UK as well as in Holland. Photographing all elements of their operations, from management through to the engineering, manufacturing, and of course their wide range of vehicle types and specialist modifications.
We continue to work with Terberg closely as the business grows further both within the UK and abroad, meeting their marketing and advertising needs with the photography that we create.
Veolia | Environmental
Initially, we were contacted by Veolia as they prepared to take delivery of 2 new DiSab Centurion vehicles for use within their environmental division. The vehicles were required to be photographed in studio, and the image assets were needed for use in both advertising and marketing brochures as well as within the main company website platforms.
They approached us directly given our experience in producing in-studio photography of very large vehicles at a high level of the quality required for such outputs. Tim Wallace worked closely with the team at Veolia in regard to transport logistics and we organised the shoot to happen as soon as the new DiSab units were ready straight from the factory. Over a period of two days, we completed a suite of images with both the new DiSab trucks as well as with other associated support vehicles.
Following the successful completion of the DiSab truck photography we collaborated with Veolia further to produce more studio-based commercial vehicle photography for them of different units in the same consistent style to be further deployed within their environmental marketing.
Working in studio with very large commercial vehicles means that we can produce very high quality photography that is true brochure quality and really showcases the clients’ vehicles.
Först | Redwood Global
Först is one of the industry's long-standing manufacturers of wood-chipping machines in the world today and approached us many years ago to look at taking their product photography to the next level. Tim has worked closely with Först and Redwood Global since then to create a whole new creative visual stance for their product photography and this is now used throughout the world to promote and market their range of Woodchippers. We continue to work with Först on a regular basis shooting a selection of their models within studio so that we can showcase them to the very highest level. Först has a vast range of models and as a dynamic leader in their field they are constantly evolving new models and variations, at each stage, we create the photography that carries this forward through their marketing and commercial advertising both on corporate websites as well as in brochures, and at special events.
As well as producing all the brochure photography of the new woodchipper models as they are designed, we also work in the field, out on location, with both staff and arborists in a more real environment. This provides a varied mix of both studio and working shots that the client can then further utilise within their marketing material and on the Forst main website.
Dennis Eagle
Dennis Eagle has been a long-term client over many years and we exclusively produce all of their commercial photography, from brochures to magazine placements and for trade advertising. Our initial work with the company began when we were asked to shoot two new prototype vehicles that they were preparing to launch, from there the relationship has developed and grown, we have worked with them on location shoots and in the studio to create work for brochures both in the UK, Europe, Asia, and the US.
Over the years since then, we have worked closely with Dennis Eagle to provide all their commercial and marketing image assets for use throughout the World. Some recent prototype projects have included brochure truck photography of all their new vehicles including the E-Collect all-electric vehicle as well as documenting all the UK service centres.
Electra Commercial Vehicles
Electra Vehicles is a relatively new company in the commercial vehicle sector and we first started working with them when they reached the stage where the initial website that they launched was at the stage where it needed to visually move to the next level. They had a very clear vision of how they wanted that to look, with a sleek modern design and really good quality photography. We worked with the team in the North West initially to photograph the best examples of their current electrified vehicle variants, and since then we have built on that, working with them on a very regular basis to expand the library of both engineering and truck photography imagery across all their model types. All the commercial photography we provide is shot so that the style, and feel of it, is consistent and therefore drops seamlessly into their marketing and advertising campaigns as well as within their developing online pressence and company website. We continue to work with Electra as they grow and evolves with the advancements they make within the electric vehicle sector.
Electra - The Future Now
Electra uses Tier One OEM world-class suppliers to produce its 100% electric vehicles. They pass the most stringent environmental and quality standards in the world of manufacturing and supply. Electra has concentrated its effort to bring to market 100% electric vehicles to reduce the impact vehicles have in city centres with the highest environmental impact. Issues of noise and exhaust emissions are utmost on the problem list of transport managers and vehicle operators. In addition to the new trucks under build by Electra, they also recognise the opportunity to re-power existing vehicles which may not meet future exhaust emissions legislation or city requirements for clean air.
Pall-Ex | Freight Network
Pall-Ex is one of our long-standing logistics photography clients, and we have produced all their main marketing commercial photography for a number of years. We were first approached by their marketing team to look at a large project to totally transform and create a library of dynamic image assets, including truck photography, and operational photography that would be used in the build of a brand-new global website for the Palletised Freight Distribution Company. We have worked closely with the Pall-Ex marketing team ever since and continue to deliver a spectrum of commercial photography that makes up the main content for their corporate global and UK sites to promote both the company and the services that they offer customers. In the last two years, we have also taken over to complete the same role, supplying photography for Fortec, which is a new supplier and sits now within the Pall-Ex brand.
Totus Environmental
In the early part of 2019, we were approached by Totus Environmental who were seeking some high-quality studio truck photography of two new vehicles that they had developed, the Muller, and the KOKs. The photography was to be used in both brochures and commercial advertising as well as at special display events and shows. Commercial transport photographer Tim Wallace has worked closely with the company over the years and in late 2020 he was back in studio to create the image assets for their largest new fleet vehicle, the Disab Centurion.
This was no simple task to shoot this very large vehicle, indeed the Centurion which is the largest vehicle ever to be attempted 'in studio' in the UK so the shoot was quite a challenge, however, Tim had spent months planning how it could be achieved and were happy to report that all the completed work has now been delivered to our client and they are very happy indeed. We continue to work closely with Totus shooting further commercial work as they grow their business and offer new vehicles and services to their clients, supporting all their marketing needs both in print and online, including a ‘working’ location project that utilised a major refinery area within the Port of London where we were able to capture the actual vehicles and staff performing some of the functions and services that they offer to their clients across Europe.
